BC Hydro's largest product in the province is located only 4 kilometers from The Gateway Plaza.  This 9 year hydro electric dam, not it its first year of construction will provide upto 3000 indirect and direct jobs in the Fort St John area and it valued at over 9 billion dollars.

This combined with the already extremely busy road brings upwards of 20,000 vehciles by The Gateway Plaza daily.



You have probably heard about it on the news, or have a distant family memeber that at one time worked in the Fort St John area in oil and gas.

Fort St John has long been the hub of all energy related industry in BC, and LNG isnt going to be any different.  With upwards of 20 proposals, Fort St John is the main stream with predictions for the amount of drilling and activity to be six times more in the coming years.  The Gateway Plaza is located right along the heart of that path to so may jobs.

Forestry & Agriculture:

Did you know Northern BC provides 90% of the provinces grain for export and domestic use?  Yes thats right, farming and agriculture is still a major thriving economy in Fort St John.

Fort St John is blessed with one of the largest and most efficient OSB (orientated strand board) Pland in North America.  This provides approx 1500 direct and indirect jobs in the community and is a cherished industry in our city.
